Favorite things #3: The markets. I could go on for ages about how much I love the open air, fresh produce markets in Aix, the biggest of which is held on Saturday mornings. I snapped this while waiting for my friend Anna to buy herbs for the dinner we made last night: Roast chicken with herbes de provence and winter root vegetables, cajun seasoned mashed potatoes and butternut squash, haricots verts with shallot and balsamic sauce, and a strawberry tart for dessert.
